Beard Shampoo (Limited Edition). 100% Natural Ingredients. African Black Soap with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Geranium Bourbon. 250ml

Limited Edition Beard Shampoo. 100% Natural Ingredients, with Pure Shea Butter and Coconut. Scented with Geranium Bourbon Natural Flower Oil (250ml).

Gnarly Joe® African Black Soap Beard Shampoo is made entirely with natural ingredients and is different to anything you’ve tried before. Even though it’s thin and watery in viscosity, it’s concentrated and deceptively powerful (a little goes a long way, which means this bottle will last a long time). Due to the Cocoa Pod Ash used in the formulation, it’s dark brown in colour and it’s subtly scented with Geranium Bourbon Flower Oil, so is not as harsh around the mouth as more chemical-based shampoos. Quickly forms a rich, white lather. Winner of Best Beard Shampoo in The Sun.

This unique, vegan-friendly, African Black Soap helps prevent flakes that cause beard dandruff, and reduces stubble itch and irritation. Subtly fragranced with Geranium Bourbon Flower Oil, Gnarly Joe 100% Natural Shampoo has no Sulfates, no SLS, no Parabens and no synthetic ingredients or artificial colouring.

100% Natural Ingredients: Aqua (water), Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Copra Oil (Coconut Oil), Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa Pod Ash (Theobroma Cacao Pod), Rosa Moschata (Rosehip) Oil, Azadirachta Indica (Neem Oil), Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang-Ylang) Oil.

Joe uses Geranium Bourbon essential oil, which comes from the island (and former french colony), of La Réunion in the Indian Ocean. The island was formerly known as Île de Bourbon, which is where the name comes from.

Geranium Bourbon is produced from the 'Rose' cultivar. It has a pronounced green, leafy-rose scent. Often more lemony and rosy, with a sweet herbaceous note.

The Geranium flower oil is steam-distilled directly from the petals and leaves of the plant, to maintain the natural goodness and integrity of the delicate aroma. As this product is used around the mouth, it's particularly satisfying to use a shampoo which has a refreshing, subtle and natural scent (unlike chemical-based high street shampoos).

It’s not necessary to use Beard Shampoo every day and, in fact, doing so could be counter-productive and actually strip the natural oils from your hair and skin. Joe therefore recommends that you use his Shampoo once or twice per week to keep it clean and hydrated.

Don’t be fooled by the thin and runny viscosity of the Shampoo; it’s more concentrated than you think and you shouldn’t need much, even for longer beards. Start by dispensing one full pump into your palm and massage thoroughly into your wet beard. A rich white lather will immediately form. If necessary, you can repeat the dose at this point. Spend two minutes using your fingers to massage the Shampoo thoroughly into your beard, getting right down to the base of the hairs. Rinse out with warm water and pat your beard dry with a towel.

As part of your beard care, finish off with Gnarly Joe® Beard Conditioner or Beard Balm to lock the moisture in and continue hydrating your Beard.

This liquid African Black Soap is derived from an ancient Ghanaian recipe which has been used for centuries. It's been proven to hydrate, nourish and moisturise skin and hair in the driest of environments.

As your beard grows, it starts to take moisture and nutrients from your skin to help it thrive. This depletes the moisture in your skin, which then deprives both your beard hair and your skin of the nutrients and oils they need to remain healthy. It’s imperative to ensure both your skin and beard hair are constantly rehydrated, to avoid dry, flaky skin and brittle hair for your beard.

African Black Soap contains the finest 100% natural ingredients and is now gaining popularity throughout the rest of the world. African Black Soap is packed with natural vitamins and antioxidants which work in harmony with your skin and hair: No Sulfates, No SLS, No Parabens, No Detergents and No Synthetic Ingredients... not even any artificial colour. African Black Soap is naturally brown and thin in viscosity, but it immediately lathers into a rich, luxurious cream.
