Regular readers of these blogs (hi Mum), will doubtless have been riveted by the news that Gnarly Joe® has been invited into the Amazon Launchpad programme (for emerging brands who can demonstrate growth, passion, commitment to customer service, and innovation in products). To celebrate this partnership, Amazon invited their chosen Launchpad brands to meet Amazon customers face-to-face at a pop-up location in Westminster, London for an entire week (I know, I thought that seemed a little harsh on customers too, but Amazon were insistent).
To kick the proceedings off, Amazon held a launch party last night and invited Prime Customers to enjoy private, late-night shopping with an after-event party, hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal (a much more famous beard than mine), with Ant Middleton (a much tougher beard than mine), with DJ duties provided by Mel C (beardless, so I win that one).
Afterwards, there was an intimate gig with sets by Paloma Faith and Tinie Tempah. Since an artisan whisky brand was offering free tastings of their fine range of scotches all night, nobody remembers any of it. After the party, I was carried aloft on the shoulders of a crowd of jubilant revellers through the streets of London (you'll have to take my word for it).
