Gnarly Joe® Marine Gel is a powerful Hydrolate Eye Serum, which immediately softens skin around the eye area and restores skin elasticity to tired eyes. With twice-per-day use over the medium to long-term, it visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, making the skin noticeably softer, glowing and youthful.

Joe sources his Marine Algae from a producer who grows the micro-algae in a purpose-built eco facility. This ensures that the delicate eco-balance of the oceans is not disrupted by uncontrolled harvesting. It also means that there's no pollution of the seas during the growth and harvesting of the algae. By using a strictly controlled environment to cultivate, the purity and high-quality of the algae is always consistent.

During growth, algae gives off gases, and even these are repurposed to heat the eco facility. Finally, solar panels are used to power the eco facility to further ensure an ultra-low carbon footprint.

Ingredients

Aqua, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid,  Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Flower Oil (Orange Blossom), Cylindrotheca Fusiformis Extract (Marine Algae), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Rose Geranium).

Scent

Light, luxurious and floral, Orange Blossom and English Rose.

Orange Blossom: Steam-distilled from the Neroli flower, Orange Blossom is an excellent exfoliator and skin toner, which nourishes and hydrates skin. Excellent for dry and mature skin, Neroli rejuvenates tired and depleted skin, introducing under-eye hydration and restoring skin elasticity.

Rose Geranium: Rose Geranium is a natural astringent that's perfect for combination and oily skin. It reduces pore-size and has a subtle tightening effect, which is useful in reducing wrinkles.

Geranium is a balancing agent which improves normal oil secretion in the skin. This helps oily, dry, and combination skin.

How to Use

Use twice per day; mornings and evenings (and whenever your skin feels tired or depleted, and in need of a boost). Wash your face first, to remove dirt and grease from your pores, then pat your face dry with a clean towel. Shake the bottle to coat the bottom of the roller ball, then tip the bottle upside down and apply a few swipes of Marine Gel under each eye. If you've applied a thin layer of the serum, you can leave this to absorb naturally. If needed, you can gently blend the serum in using your third finger (the third finger is your weakest, and therefore creates less strain and pull on the delicate, thin skin surrounding your eyes).

However, at the end of the day, it's better to load a little more serum around the eye, as it will have the entire night to absorb, and go to work hydrating your under-eye area whilst you sleep.

The plant-based ingredients are gentle enough to use multiple times per day, whenever you need to introduce moisture and give life back to tired eyes.

How it Works

Marine Algae stimulates the production of natural skin proteins in a natural and harmonious way. It’s highly-concentrated in carotenoids, essential fatty acids and sterols that have a powerful positive effect on the skin.

Store in a cool dark place to help prolong the life of the natural ingredients. Always keep the lid firmly closed when the product is not in use. Even though the contents only contain natural ingredients, please keep out of reach of children. Do not consume, for external use only. Keep away from eyes. If the product should come into contact with your eyes, wash out immediately with tepid water.

Preferred the older version

I’ve bought this product in the older ‘roller’ form previously and on multiple occasions through other shopping channels and I absolutely loved it. The instant cooling sensation was great for my early morning routine when I woke at 4am for work (picture the zombie look!!). The roller was so easy and lasted for ages.
My most recent purchase was direct and I thought I was getting the roller however this time was the new tube with gel. For some reason it just doesn’t seem to have that same effect, and now it’s a two-handed operation. Please bring back the roller, even if it’s a more expensive option…I’d be happy to pay a little more to offset the manufacturing costs. Do that and it’s 5* all the way :)

Not rollerball as advertised

Yes - disappointed ☹️ really. I had used the product before with a rollerball application which was very easy to use somewhat genius really as there is no waste. I ordered rollerball and received 6 x tubes with squirt on to finger to apply.

Not been using it long but I can see the difference.

So far using this twice daily it has made a difference to my eyes lifting underneath and looking fresher
